Preventing Mobile Phone Spam

What has worked for you? Well, in my case, I don't have any protection, but when I come across spammers, the reaction is to block them. That seems to be enough.

Simply blocking spam numbers in today's age has not been efficient. One thing I have noticed that has helped curb the spam is in the new iOS 26 Open Public Beta, they have an option that automatically asks an unknown number to identify themselves, or else the phone doesn't ring. This has significantly helped me with spam calls.

I have caller ID, and I don;t receive calls that I don't recognize. For text messages, I always blog text messages from unsolicited address. Phone spam hasn't bothered me much.

I do the same thing.. just hit block whenever sketchy calls or texts come through. Some people use RoboKiller app or enable carrier spam protection but honestly just blocking them as they pop up works pretty well for most situations,

I have a third-party app that notify me of any suspected spam calls. It is not 100% effective, but it does block a large number of calls. Reporting spam numbers is what helps everyone in the long run. The name of the app is Truecaller, I don't know if it works in your country.
